49 women have the opportunity to showcase their art and craft skills during the Makoi Women’s Vocational Centre’s Open Day today before they graduate on the 26th of this month.

The women have gone through a three month programme which will allow them to find job in various sectors and be able to earn for their families.

Acting Manager of the Centre, Arita Sarup says people can purchase food, clothes, pillow case, cushion case, toilet paper holders and other products at the Open Day today.

Sarup says people can also come for medical check-ups that will include blood pressure, sugar and BMI checks.

She says she hopes people will come in numbers to support the students during their first Open Day for this year.

She adds that the money earned today will go towards the upcoming batch and the purchasing of ingredients and materials.

The Open Day will end this afternoon at 3.
