49 schools around Suva launch Clean School Program Awards

With the effort to engage schools and community to clean environment awareness, forty-nine schools around Suva have launched the Clean School Program Awards along with Minister for Local Government Parvin Bala.

Nehru Primary School won the overall award as they implement the three “R’s” of Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.

Nehru Primary School teacher Salesi Drodrolagi says this is something that should be taught from home by parents before students make an impact to their friends.

Minister for Local Government Parvin Bala reminded the students that the effects of Climate Change is real.

The winner of last year’s competition was Dudley Intermediate School.
