4,577 people are currently staying in 197 evacuation centres around the country.
This has been confirmed by the National Disaster Management Office.
It says the initial damage assessment teams have been mobilised around the country and ready to be deployed once the weather permits.
Officials are transporting people to other evacuation centres to ensure that they are adhering to the 2 metres physical distancing requirement put in place by the Health Ministry.
National Disaster Management Office and Health Ministry officials are making sure that there are not too many people in a evacuation centre.
Chief Medical Adviser Jemesa Tudravu says are also ensuring the vulnerable are protected.
