The Land Transport Authority says it issued 415 traffic infringement notices and impounded 20 vehicles during an operation last week.
During that operation, 55 LTA officers were deployed nationwide.
Top offences recorded during the four-day operation included people caught using private vehicle licenses for driving taxis, driving unregistered motor vehicles, PSV driver conduct, Improper use of Mobile Communication and Failure to use seat belts.
LTA says during the operation bus drivers being booked for not carrying disposable cards while some drivers were taken to task for code of conduct and allowing passengers to travel in the bus without collecting fare.
Random checks were also made to check passenger E‑ticketing cards.
The LTA has already made it clear that passengers are liable to a fixed penalty of $50 if they are found evading normal fare charges.
