40 state of the art cameras that capture images and help Police with cases of wanted people will be installed in Suva City in a bid to improve the safety and well-being of citizens in Suva. This has been highlighted by the Chair of Special Administrators and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Suva City Council Tevita Boseiwaqa to fijivillage News.
Boseiwaqa says the 40 cameras will add on to the 40 cameras that have already been installed through the support of the Suva Retailers Association.
The Acting CEO says the additional cameras will be located around the Drug Free Zone area from the Suva Market, Suva Bus Station, and the stretch from Nabukalou Bridge to Walu Bay Bridge.
Boseiwaqa says these cameras are the latest ones used in Melbourne, Australia which transforms their approach for a more digital transformation.
