40 students are being treated at the Sigatoka Hospital after the bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident at 7.30 this morning.
The students are from a Sunday School group from Keiyasi and were travelling with their parents on a one day excursion to Suva.
The accident occurred near Sovi, Sigatoka when the bus was heading towards Suva.
It is alleged that the bus driver lost control of the bus causing it to veer onto the opposite lane and hit an oncoming truck.
42 students and 14 parents were on the bus. The students and both drivers are being treated at the Sigatoka Hospital.
Investigations continue.
