4 people are currently admitted in the hospital after 2 separate accidents along the Kings Highway in Ba within the last 24 hours.
Police say a 33-year-old man and his 7-year-old daughter suffered serious injuries after the taxi the man was driving veered off the road along the Kings Highway at Natunuku, Ba.
This occurred around 5.30pm yesterday.
In another case, a bus carrying 15 passengers veered off the road at Tavarau, Ba along the Kings Highway.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu says all passengers with the driver were treated at Ba Aspen Hospital with injuries.
ACP Driu says the bus was travelling from Lautoka to Suva and according to the passengers, it was travelling very fast and the driver lost control.
He says a couple are still admitted for observation.
The drivers in both incidents are yet to be questioned as the investigation continues.
Fiji Police is urging drivers to consider the lives of their passengers.
