Four people remain in custody at the Lami police station following vehicle interception for alleged drug-related activities.
Police say a team from the Lami Police Station upon receiving information of alleged drug-related activities, intercepted a vehicle on Thursday, where they found a bag containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Divisional Police Commander South (DPC/S), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Wate Vocevoce says the officers were conducting mobile patrol when they received information regarding the vehicle and its occupants nearing Suvavou.
He says officers intercepted the vehicle and conducted a search where they found a bag containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
SSP Vocevoce says the four were then arrested and remain in custody.
Investigations continue.
