4 dead in Alaska after two sightseeing airplanes collided in midair

Four people are dead after two sightseeing airplanes carrying cruise ship tourists collided in midair near a southeast Alaska town.

U.S Coast Guard Lieutenant Brian Dykens said two others remaining missing after the collision near Ketchikan.

US Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Allen Kenitzer said the floatplanes collided under unknown circumstances,

A spokeswoman for Taquan Air, operator of the Otter, said the company had suspended operations while federal authorities investigate the deadly crash.
