Four people charged with damaging property and common nuisance have been released on a bail of $1500 each.

It is alleged that last Wednesday, 50-year-old Kitione Moqili, 28-year-old Solome Vatoga, 49-year-old Navitilai Nasito and 36-year-old Iliesa Momo cut the mooring line of a floating restaurant and bar ‘Cloud 9’ which is located in the open seas off Tavarua Island in the Malolo group.

This floating facility drifted for about 15 meters out to sea and nearby resorts had to send boats to secure it.

The four have been ordered to report to the Nawai Police Station every Friday between 6am to 4pm and will have to stay in their houses everyday from 6pm to 6am.

The four are not to interfere with any of the witnesses.

They will reappear in the Nadi Magistrates court on the 31st of October.
