Waisea Turagadra has been remanded in custody for allegedly seriously assaulting his 38-year-old wife which resulted in her death.
39-year-old Turagadrau of Bila Settlement in Nadi appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
The matter has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court will called on the 15th of this month.
Turagadrau is charged with one count of murder.
Police say the man allegedly seriously assaulted his wife in their home in Narewa, Nadi on Sunday after they had a heated argument as to why she had arrived home late.
