Three police officers including Roy Senibici, Inoke Tikoimalevani, Samisoni Ralulu and two civilians including Anare Buresolei and Anare Buresolei Vulaki who allegedly tampered with methamphetamine from the Totogo Police Station, have been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.
The prosecution objected to the bail application stating that if bail is granted there is a high likelihood of the accused persons interfering with the witnesses and the evidence.
The case has been adjourned to the 19th of March.
Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew had earlier stated that the three police officers have all been charged with one count of Interfering with Evidence.
The three allegedly unlawfully interfered with methamphetamine seized during the conduct of a police operation between 9th to 10th February 2024.
The two civilians have both been charged with one count of Aiding and Abetting Interfering with Evidence.
It is alleged that the two between the 9th and 10th of February, being a party to the offence of interfering with evidence, aided and abetted the unlawful interference of the seized methamphetamine during the conduct of a police operation.
