Three new Fijian manufactured buses were handed over to the Nauru High Commission yesterday.
Nauru Member of Parliament Tawaki Kami said the three buses will be used to cater for the students in Nauru and it will improve the quality of life in Nauru.
Managing Director for Bus manufacturers PA Lal Group of companies Richard Lal said they were contracted with the Nauru Government to provide the buses which cost more than $400,000 in total.
Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said this shows the confidence Nauru government has in the PA Lal Group of companies and the opening up of the Fiji market.
He said the Fijian made initiative encourages Fijians to buy Fijian made products and it ensures quality for the customers.
These buses carry the Fijian Made logo on them as they are licensed under the Buy Fijian Made Campaign and will be shipped to Nauru over the weekend for use there.
