A three-month-old baby is fighting for his life at the CWM Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a road accident on Queens Highway near the Navua Bridge last night.
The accident was allegedly caused by a suspended police officer.
The three-month-old child’s mother and grandparents are also admitted in the CWM Hospital but in stable condition.
Police say the four were on their way from Suva to Lautoka when their vehicle was allegedly hit by another vehicle from the back.
According to Police, the suspended police officer who is alleged to have caused this accident was heavily intoxicated.
The vehicle that the family of four was travelling in had veered off the road as a result of this accident.
