Three men from Cagilaba Settlement in Navua who allegedly assaulted some Methodist Church members including the pastor during curfew hours have been charged.
They have been charged with two counts each of assault and one count each of failing to comply with orders.
Police say the matter was reported by a 48 year old man last Thursday.
A resident who witnessed this incident say these men were drunk and were making a lot of noise when a church session was underway.
He says when they were told by an elder of the settlement to keep the noise level down, they had started assaulting him and everyone else who came to try and stop them.
