It has been an impressive night for the Fiji Swimming team in Day 4 of the Pacific Games in Samoa.
Three gold medals was collected by the Fiji Swimming team tonight at the Samoa Aquatic Centre.
Matelita Buadromo won the Women’s 200 metres Freestyle final while Saint Joseph’s Secondary School student Moana Wind won gold in the Women’s 50 metres Breaststroke final.
A relay team made up of Yolani Blake, Cheyenne Rova, Rosemarie Rova and Matelita Buadromo also won gold in the Women’s 4x100 metres Freestyle relay.
This was Buadromo’s second gold medal win tonight.
Epeli Rabua also won a bronze medal in the Men’s 50 metres Breaststroke final.
Fiji also won a bronze medal in the Men’s 4x100 metres Freestyle relay.
All these swimmers are all Fiji based who have been tirelessly preparing under local club training regimes.
Fiji Swimming says their results are a real testament of the effective high performance programs being implemented.
