Three females will be part of the thirty meat workers that will travel to Australia under the Australian Pacific Labour Scheme.
This will be the first time under the Australian Pacific Labour Scheme that females from Fiji will work in the meat industry.
Permanent Secretary for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Osea Cawaru reminded the workers on the importance of values, team work and helping each other.
Cawaru also emphasized that their selection makes them Fiji’s ambassadors and it is also the key to opening more doors for fellow Fijians back home awaiting this great opportunity.
The first group of ten workers is expected to leave for Junee, New South Wales on the 4th of this month, the second group of 10 workers will leave for Bindaree on 16th while the third group will depart for Tamworth on 25th of this month.
