National Adviser for Communicable Diseases Dr Mike Kama has confirmed that the three cases of Chikungunya virus were brought in by foreigners.
Dr Kama confirms that they have left the country however they received some medication in Fiji.
He says the virus is spread through mosquitoes which is similar to dengue.
Dr kama adds control of mosquitoes is the prime means of controlling Chikungunya.
