After being beaten up and sworn at by her ex-partner, 26-year-old Sarah Blake shares her story in her song that says it all, “To Love and be loved.”
Blake is one of ten new local artists in the Domo Vou Talei Competition and is currently working on her music video that has been recorded by CFL’s Magic Factory and will be uploaded on fijivillage at 6 tonight.
The Savusavu lass says her original song relates to those who want to get into a relationship, and learning that they need to love themselves first.
Blake says after she went through certain struggles, she journaled her experiences and this saw the birth of her original song.
She also shares some advice to those facing the same challenges.
To vote for the Westpac People’s Choice Award, fans will have to like and share the videos on their social media platforms and the music video that has the highest engagement will walk away with $3,000.
