A donation of $25,000 was given to Chauhan Memorial School in Veisari today for the construction of a teachers quarters.
The cheque was presented to Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy and the school management by Navtarang Programmes Director Satya Nand on behalf of Satrekha Chauhan of the United States of America.
She is the youngest daughter of Ram Asre Chauhan who donated land and used timber from his sawmill to start the school in 1957.
Speaking at the cheque handover Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy says the unique thing about the event is the attachment of the family to this prestigious institution.
Chauhan Memorial School has a roll of 348 students.
