A 25-year-old woman from Sigatoka has passed away after being involved in a road accident on Wednesday night.
Police say the woman was a passenger in a vehicle on its way to Korolevu in Navosa when the driver allegedly lost control causing it to veer off the road and crash into a drain.
A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
The road death toll currently stands at 57 compared to 65 for the same period last year.
