24,000 AstraZeneca doses from COVAX facility will arrive today.
This has been confirmed by the Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong who says that they are looking at deploying the whole 24,000 vaccines.
Dr Fong says another batch will also be arriving quickly and that is where they will be keeping the second dose of the 24,000.
He says they continue to work on procuring WHO-approved vaccines to be brought to our shores to be administered into arms.
COVAX Facility is a global initiative aimed at making sure low and middle-income countries get access to the vaccines.
The European Union and its member states as well as the European Union Investment Bank are some of the lead contributors to the COVAX Facility.
