23yr-old driver of tumbled Nasese bus near Kinoya traffic lights intersection yet to be questioned

The Nasese Bus which tumbled at the Kinoya traffic lights intersection

Police are yet to question the 23-year-old driver of the Nasese bus which tumbled near the Kinoya traffic lights intersection.

The accident happened after 11pm.

Nine people received injuries and were taken to the Valelevu Health Centre for treatment last night

Police say the bus was on its way to Nausori when it collided with a vehicle headed towards Khalsa Road and as a result of the accident the bus tumbled.

The circumstances surrounding the incident is being investigated by Police.  

Meanwhile, three people sustained serious injuries when the bus they were traveling in veered off the road near Vunaniu, Serua yesterday afternoon.


Accident in Vunaniu, Serua

A man in his 20s and 2 women sustained serious injuries when the bus driven by a man in his 30s allegedly veered off the road while trying to overtake another vehicle.

One other passenger remains admitted at the Navua Hospital while 8 others were treated and sent home.

The driver is yet to be questioned.
