23-year-old man and 8-year-old boy die in horrific Naboro accident, 7 others admitted in hospital

A 23-year-old man and an 8-year-old boy have passed away following a horrific accident along the Queens Highway near the Vunisalato Settlement in Naboro yesterday.

7 other people including both drivers sustained serious injuries and are currently admitted at the CWM Hospital.

Police say the 8 year old boy was travelling with his parents in a small truck while the 23 year old man was a passenger in the vehicle that allegedly caused the accident.

They say the alleged suspect who is a 24-year old man from Navo, Nadi was speeding when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer onto the opposite lane resulting in the head on collision.

Prashant Anuraag who came across the accident told Legend FM News that he managed to remove the accident victims from their vehicles with the help of some people.
