220 plants believed to be marijuana have been uprooted on day 5 of Operation Sasamaki on the Island of Kadavu in the village Rakiraki, Yale.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro said three people were arrested following the raid for their alleged involvement in the cultivation of marijuana.
Naisoro confirmed that seven people are already in custody at the Nabua Police Station following raids conducted earlier in the week.
She said another four people are in custody at the Vunisea Police Station following raids conducted on Friday and today.
She said the Fiji Police Force has been working closely with the people of Kadavu and they appreciate the support shown towards their team that has resulted in the success of the operation so far.
