Investment Fiji Chief Executive Officer Kamal Chetty says the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards has been a reflection of the growing Fijian economy and businesses that have existed and still thriving from the challenges of the past two years due to the global pandemic.
Chetty says entering its 30th year, the Prime Minister’s International Business Awards has to date inspired countless businesses to diversify their potential.
The theme for the 2022 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards is ‘Recovery, Resilience and Progress’ and the awards ceremony is a celebration of the businesses that have endured the challenges of the global pandemic, through diversification and innovation incorporated into their operations.
Chetty says the award will elevate the businesses and help create the recognition and branding needed to assist in marketing their products and services globally.
He adds the Fijian Government values and recognizes businesses for their achievements, innovation and resilience, mainly as they strive to grow and expand their global footprints.
219 applications have been submitted through an online portal for all thirteen categories in various sectors.
Investment Fiji says there are 17 awards and 13 categories this year with the introduction of three new categories, namely the Excellence in Outsourcing Award, the Best Crisis in Recovery Award and Pacific Horticultural and Agricultural Market Access, Plus the Agribusiness Innovation Challenge.
They add that there will also be four new recognition awards to acknowledge businesses that have impacted the Fijian economy.
The 2022 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards will be held on Saturday, 10th December 2022 at the Sheraton Resort, Nadi.
