21 Fijian students pursuing their medical studies in Cuba have been encouraged by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama to study hard and make Fiji proud.

While treating the students to lunch, the Prime Minister told the students they had left their families to pursue their dreams further.

Bainimarama added that it was encouraging to hear their different stories and experiences in Cuba and hoped they would continue to do their best.

The Prime Minister says his government was always ready to assist in whichever way it could for the benefit of the students.
