The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and Jack’s of Fiji have launched the highly anticipated 2025 merchandise range in time for the festive season.
The Drua says the highlight of the new range is the home-playing jersey worn by the Drua.
They say made by New Balance, the 2025 version is striking in its appearance, with new designs and patterns to showcase the growth of the Drua as one of Super Rugby Pacific’s most followed teams.
The Club says the designs feature an abstract take on the classic woven mats, which are a feature in most Fijian homes.
They add that the jersey also subtly blends in recognisable motifs especially created for the Fijian Drua, including the Drua’s own masi designs and the key feature of the masi designs – the bai (fence represented by shark teeth) – is a highly visible new addition to the new jersey design on the collar and sleeve ends.
The Drua says jerseys will be available for sale at Jacks of Fiji outlets starting today, well in time for Christmas and holiday shopping, with other retailers also expected to start the sale of jerseys and other merchandise in the coming weeks.
They say the Club has also retained the white colours of its alternate ‘clash’ jersey but with a splash of green on the shoulders for a vibrant new look.
They also say in addition to the new jerseys, Jack’s of Fiji has rolled out entire new lines of Fijian Drua polos, training tees, training jerseys, shorts, jackets, hats and other items.
Fijian Drua General Manager Commercial Shane Hussein says the new merchandise signals the start of the new season, and they are proud to present this expanded new range.
Hussein says Fijian Drua fans are the world’s best fans, and there is no better sight in the competition than tens of thousands of them cheering on their Drua in Suva and Lautoka.
He says it’s wonderful that Jack’s of Fiji can roll out the sale early in the festive season, giving their supporters and the public great gifting options.
He adds that there is also a particular supporter gear range available at Jack’s of Fiji, which will bring back memories of the classic Fijian handicraft stores of old.
He says New Balance has created tees that remind them of the hand-designed, screen-printed tops which were a common feature in stores around the country, and they think their fans will enjoy exploring the different options available to them as they keenly await their Drua Men and Women take the field in 2025.
Official retailer Jacks of Fiji officially launched the jerseys at the Drua Store at Port Denarau, with players like Frank Lomani, Peni Ravai, Motikiai Murray, Joseva Tamani and Iosefo Masi doing the honours.
