2025 Coca Cola Games : Marist and MGM lead medal tally

Defending boys champions of the Coca-Cola Games, Marist Brothers High School lead the medal tally with 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals after day 1 of competition. Ratu Kadavulevu School is in second place with 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.

Suva Grammar School is in third place with 2 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze.

Defending champions, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School is leading the girls division with 6 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.

Saint Joseph’s Secondary School is in second place with 2 gold and 1 bronze.

Ratu Sukuna Memorial School is in third place with 2 gold medals.

The 800 metres heats start at 9.30am tomorrow, the 4x100 metres heats start at 12.30pm, the 400 metres finals start at 3pm, and the 4x100 metres finals start at 4.15pm.

The Intermediate Boys Javelin, Intermediate Girls Discus and Sub Junior Boys High Jump start at 8.45am tomorrow.

Sera Nasilivata of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School breaks 32 year old record

Sera Nasilivata of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School was the queen of the tracks tonight as she took the gold medal in the Junior Girls 100 metres final in style, and also broke the longest standing record on the track of Masilina Rakai from Ba Methodist High in 1993.

Nasilivata broke the 32 year old record in style at the HFC Stadium tonight.

She ran a time of 12.30 seconds.

Samuela Navitilai of Ratu Kadavulevu School claimed the Senior Boys 100 metres gold medal in the 2025 Coca Cola Games.

His time in the heat was 10.92 seconds while his time in the final was 10.83 seconds.

Senirusi Rauqe of QVS had the silver while Nathaniel Chand of Grammar settled for the bronze medal.

Claudie David of Suva Grammar School won the Senior Girls 100 metres after starting strongly right from the starting blocks.

Losalini Raikadroka of MGM had to settle for the silver medial while Imeri Nasali of ACS took the bronze.

Lidia Waqairapoa of MGM had a powerful run and won gold in the Intermediate 100 metres final.

Grammar’s Adi Seinimili Logavatu got silver while Natabua’s Aliti Ratudradra got bronze.

Luke Junior of MGM claimed the Junior Boys 100 metres gold with a blistering run in the final.

Lawrence Fatiaki of MGM also took the silver while Grammar’s Sefanaia Ravatu settled for bronze.

It was a tight race in the Sub Junior Boys 100 metres final as Kirikiti Biu of Marist claimed the gold medal.

John Vugakoto of Suva Grammar School had to settle for silver while Viliame Lakai from Shiri Guru Nanak School took the bronze.

Veniana Ranadi of MGM came out strongly to win the Sub Junior Girls 100 metres event despite having a slower time in the heats.

Ema Grace Tagiduadua of MGM took the silver medal while Tarusila Naiyala of Jasper Williams High School took the bronze.

Gladness Simpson from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School had a well planned run and won the 1,500 metres Senior Girls event in style this evening.

Simpson set the pace and there was no sign of her slowing down for any other runner to take the lead.

Lilieta Buna of Thomas Baker Secondary School from Navosa settled for the silver medal while Makereta Vadrodro from Nasesevia Secondary took home the bronze.

Veresa Valemei of Nakasi High won the Senior Boys 1,500 metres.

Peni Bulikiobo of Jai Narayan College settled for silver while Savenaca Namokoli of Natabua took the bronze.

Jale Raikatalau won gold for Ratu Kadavulevu School in the Intermediate Boys 1,500 metres in style and was one of the highlights of the day. Serevi Tova of Nakasi High School provided stiff competition through the race and settled for silver while Noa Drevenavuka of Church College Fiji won bronze.

In the girls division, Lusia Neneyawa won gold for Thomas Baker Secondary School, Marama Miliakere won silver for Saint John Cawaci and Laisani Nakoro won bronze for Adi Cakabau School.

Emosi Baledrokadroka of Natabua High School won gold for the western based school this evening in the Junior Boys 1,500 metres event.

Baledrokadroka set the pace from the get go and did not look back to clinch gold for Natabua.

Vukivuki Mitieli won silver for Nakasi High School and Maika Turner of Ratu Luke Memorial School won bronze.

In the girls division, Mereseini Nailo of Dreketi High School won gold, Makitalena Lakolako took the silver for Nasau Central and Manaini Lewasariri took bronze for Wainimala Secondary School.

Marika Nakelekelevesi of Ratu Kadavulevu School won gold in the Sub Junior 1,500 metres event.

Nakelekelevesi saved the best for last as he pulled away from Olaf Allen of Marist Brothers High School in the last 75 metres to clinch the gold for the Delainakaikai team this evening. Allen settled for silver and Waisea Ravonokula of Bua Central College took the bronze.

In the girls division, Merekeleni Ratubaka won gold for Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School, Karalina Ramatau of Holy Cross College won silver while Lelei Rasalu won bronze for Dreketi Central College.

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School’s Losalini Raikadroka and Suva Grammar School’s Claudie David are out to stamp their mark in the Coke Games Senior Girls 100 metres final this evening.

Raikadroka clocked the fastest time in the heats with a time of 12.93 seconds while David clocked 12.95 seconds.

Other finalists that are out to cause a major upset are Litia Lala from Tailevu North College, Katea Ravouvou from Natabua High, Teresia Nauluvula from Bucalevu Secondary, Imeri Nasali from Adi Cokabau School, Tirisiane Kiliraki from MGM and Suliana Batidegei from Sacred Heart College.

Laisenia Raweso of Xavier College is bringing the heat to the Coca-Cola Games winning another gold medal in the Intermediate Boys High Jump Event today.

Raweso jumped a height of 1.86 metres.

Keleto Loboilagi of Nasikawa Vision College in Nadroga won silver and Voase Naivalu of Ba Sanatan College took home the bronze.

Coa won with a jump of 11.44 metres to take the medal to the west.

Samuela Navitalai of Ratu Kadavulevu School is going into the 100 metres Senior Boys final this evening with the fastest time from the heats earlier this afternoon.

Navitalai clocked a time of 10.92 seconds in a very fast heat.

Nathaniel Chand of Suva Grammar School has the second fastest time from the heats with 11.05 seconds.

Queen Victoria School’s Senirusi Rauqe and Setareki Saukilagi both clocked 11.06 seconds.

Grammar’s Paula Vonolagi clocked 11.14 seconds going into the final, Ratu Penaia Ramasirai has clocked 11.23 seconds, Josefata Tuinavitilevu 11.26 seconds and Joshua Ducia has clocked 11.36 seconds.

The 100 metres finals will start at after 6.15 tonight.

Lutu of MGM grabs gold in Intermediate Triple Jump despite Long Jump focus

Keleni Lutu of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School has won gold in the Intermediate Girls Triple Jump with a leap of 11.15 metres.

Lutu says she was not prepared for the Triple Jump, as her main focus has been the Long Jump event, but coming in first in this event has been a blessing.

She adds last year she attended Bucalevu Secondary School, where she took part in the 4x400m relay and finished second, as well as the Long Jump event where she claimed first place.

Lutu also highlighted that one of the key factors boosting her preparation and enhancing her fitness is a change in her diet.

Losana Cakau of Suva Grammar School settled for the silver medal with a jump of 11.11 metres, while Tahila Kunahiga, also from Grammar, took home the bronze with a jump of 10.78 metres.

Opeti Tikoisuva of Suva Grammar School has won a gold medal and smashed the 10-year old record of Paula Nasara of Natabua High set in 2015 in the Sub Junior Long Jump event in the Coca-Cola Games today.

Tikoisuva set the record with a jump of 6.12 metres.

Tuluke Tiko of Ratu Kadavulevu School won silver and Varasiko Rokua won bronze for Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School.

Tikoisuva has dedicated the gold to his parents and coach for always supporting him during his preparations.

The 14-year old says winning gold in his first year at the Coke Games is special and he will train hard every year to keep winning gold and hoping to break all the records in the various divisions.

Saint Joseph's Secondary School’s Celestine Atalifo has broken the Coca-Cola Games Sub Junior Girls Discus record with a throw of 31.83 metres.

The record was previously held by Adi Cakobau School’s Tokasa Waqanisauvaki who had a throw of 29.39 metres in 2017.

Naomi Talakula of Ba Sanatan College settled for silver while Cicia High School’s Luisa Baleidrokadroka has won bronze.

Ebenezer Saukuru has won the first gold for Marist Brothers High School in the Intermediate Boys Long Jump Event at the Coca-Cola Games today.

Saukuru who is the son of former Fiji volleyball reps, Apenisa and Ro Sainimili Saukuru jumped a distance of 6.45 metres.

He has dedicated the win to his parents, other parents in the camp who have been helping them in the last three weeks and his fellow brothers.

Ratu Apenisa Navukitu of Nakasi High School won silver and Aminiasi Tavailagi of Ratu Kadavulevu School won bronze.

Maryann Macedru of Saint Joseph's wins gold after record breaking throw in Intermediate Girls Shot Put

Maryann Macedru of Saint Joseph's Secondary School from Waimanu Road in Suva has won gold in the Intermediate Girls Shot Put with a record breaking throw of 14.44 metres.

She broke her own record of 13.27 metres set last year.

Sulie Matea of Swami Vivekananda College got silver while the bronze medal went to Miliakere Naikaci of Natabua High School.

The 100 metres heats will start this hour and the 100 metres finals will start at about 6.10 tonight.

The 4x400 metres heats will commence at about 2.20pm.

The 1,500 metres finals will start at about 5.15pm today.

All Saints’ Baledrokadroka wins gold and fulfils personal goal

Sailasa Baledrokadroka of All Saints Secondary School

Sailasa Raralevu Baledrokadroka of All Saints Secondary School in Labasa has won gold in the junior boy's division on the shot put.

Speaking to fijivillage Sports, Baledrokadroka says he wanted to make a name for himself by winning gold this year in cokes, since last year he won silver in the same event for the sub-junior category with the throw of 13.90 metres.

He credits his parents for their unwavering support, which has contributed to his dominance in the event.

Sitiveni Ranamu of Marist Brothers High School secured silver, while David Terotume of Gospel High School claimed the bronze.
