Suva Grammar School’s Semesa Caginivalu and MGM High School’s Kesaia Boletakanadavu are reigning supreme in this year’s Coca-Cola Games after bagging gold medals in the senior 200 metres finals.
Caginivalu who won the 100 metres senior final, beat fellow Grammar runner, Ratu Alipate Vuiwakaya in a photo-finish 200 metres final.
Caginivalu says it feels great to win his second gold medal.
Iliesa Ratubalavu of Cuvu College settled for the bronze medal in the 200 metres final.
Kesaia Boletakanakadavu made a strong statement again in the 200 metres senior girls final, winning gold, and beating Melania Ranadi of ACS who won silver and Grammar’s Chloe David who settled for bronze.
Senirusi Rauqe scooped gold for QVS in the intermediate boys division while MGM duo Emosi Laqere and Ratu Penaia Ramisarai settled for silver and bronze respectively.
Adi Cakobau School’s Frances Tuva won gold while team mate Imeri Nasali won silver with Claudy David of Grammar finishing third to settle for bronze.
In the junior boys division, Ratu Apenisa Lalabalavu of Marist won gold, Francis Bakaniceva of International School Suva won silver with Asalusi Raloka of Ba Sanatan College settling for bronze.
Lidia Waqairapoa won gold for MGM High in the junior girls division, Filomena Navula of ACS won silver while International School Suva’s Emelia Lobendahn Wood finished third to win bronze.
Marist duo Haggai Sukanaivalu and Ebenezer Saukuru won gold and silver respectively while Suva Grammar’s Ratu Aisea Kubunakaravi in the sub-junior boys division.
Hephzipah Tuimanono of Suva Grammar won gold for the sub-junior girls division, Levana Agnes of Immaculate Conception College finished second to win silver while Pasemaca Bukalidi settled for bronze.
