The 2023 Bara Battle has been launched with 16 teams already registered for the physical race that will be held on the 29th of next month at Albert Park in Suva.

The funds collected from the race will contribute to Frank Hilton Organisation’s procurement of essential assisting devices such as pediatric wheelchairs and hearing aids, empowering children with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. This is the 7th Amazing Wheelbarrow Race.

Speaking at the launch, Frank Hilton Organisation CEO Sureni Perera acknowledged those that attended the launch stating that it affirms the commitment from everyone in ensuring the lives of children living with disabilities, who are most vulnerable in society will truly flourish.

She says the present Frank Hilton journey started in 2012 where they resolved to work towards a vision of creating a centre of excellence that supports children with disabilities not just through special education but through a range of services that ensures a holistic early childhood development.

She adds that 70 percent of the organisation's funds come from the Government.

The CEO is also urging other companies, businesses and corporate bodies to enter the race to raise funds for our children.

The target is set at $150,000 through the race, and every $10 collected will help them reach this goal.
