Each member of the Team Fiji Men’s 7s team who won silver at the Paris Olympics Men’s rugby 7s competition will be paid $20,000 for their achievement.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports says they are awaiting the return of the team.

Minister Jese Saukuru had earlier mentioned that cabinet has approved incentives where an athlete who wins gold at the Paris Olympics will be awarded $50,000, $20,000 for silver medalists and $10,000 will be awarded to bronze medalists.

Saukuru had said the incentives was promised by the Government and they will find the money to reward the winners.
