About 200 new jobs are expected to be created when the Charan Jeath Singh Nakasi Mall is completed in the next 14 months.

The ground breaking ceremony for the $16 million project was held this morning.

CJS Nakasi Mall is located next to the Mobil Service Station in Nakasi.

CJS Group of Companies Managing Director Charan Jeath Singh says the mall will include CJS supermarket and 20 office and business outlets.

It will have 200 parking spaces.

Singh says they have owned the land for about 20 years and decided that this was the right time to build.

He adds that the funds for the project are being sourced through HFC Bank.

CJS Supermarkets already has outlets in Nabua and Labasa.
