Twenty Fiji Police Officers are part of the Fiji delegation alongside their comrades from the Republic of Fiji Fiji Military Forces and the Australian Federal Police to support the security operation for the Solomon Islands elections.

Fiji Police says they are grateful for the opportunity to support regional law enforcement in providing a specialist tactical team from the Police Mobile Force, as part of their long-standing commitment to supporting capability development via by the Pacific, for the Pacific approach.

They say Fiji’s deployment is consistent with regional policing efforts under the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police and the Pacific Community for Law Enforcement Cooperation through collaboration, sharing of resources, capabilities, and operational engagement.
