Two men have been charged and produced in court following raids conducted by officers from the Western Division Narcotics and K9 Unit after they were allegedly found with methamphetamine last week.
Police say the first raid was conducted in Legalega, Nadi whereby a 49-year old businessman was found with 4 plastic bags containing methamphetamine.
He was charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs and produced in the Nadi Magistrates Court.
The second raid was conducted in Kulukuku Settlement, Sigatoka whereby a 37-year old fisherman was found with 4 plastic bags containing methamphetamine.
He was also charged with one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs and produced in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court.
Police say drug operations continue throughout the country in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 special operations.
They say they acknowledge the support of members of the public who continue to provide information about those involved in the illegal drug trade.
