Two goals by Saula Waqa have given his Flick Hygiene Lautoka side a fighting chance to qualify for the semi-final of the Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament, as they beat defending champions Extra Supermarket Labasa 2-1 at HFC Bank Stadium last night.

The teams were tied 1-1 at half time.

Christopher Wasasala scored for Labasa.

Following a 2-1 loss to Smart & Efficient Security Services/Calgary Nadi, Lautoka needs to beat or at least draw against Flowserve Engineering Navua today.

Labasa will need to beat Nadi by more than three goals to qualify.

While speaking to Fijivillage News, Waqa says they will come out firing against Navua.

He has dedicated his two goals to his daughter, who celebrates her birthday today.

In other results, Nadi and Nasinu finished their match at nil-all, Extra Supermarket Rewa thrashed RPA Group/Nadroga Auto Marine Upholstery Works Nadroga 8-1 while Flick Hygiene Suva and Dayal's Sawmillers Ba finished the match goal-less.

In matches today, Lautoka takes on Navua at 10am, Nadroga faces Flick Hygiene Suva at midday, Rewa takes on Dayal's Sawmillers Ba at 2pm, and Labasa takes on Nadi at 4pm.
