An 18-year-old man will appear in the Nasinu Magistrates Court this afternoon for allegedly assaulting and robbing a USP student on Monday.

He has been charged for one count of aggravated robbery.

The alleged incident took place on a bus along Nawanawa Road in Nadera when the victim was on her way home from school at around 7pm.

The victim sustained serious injuries and even broke her left arm.

She says that it all happened too fast and there were probably only three passengers on the bus at the time of the incident.

The driver came to help but it was too late as the robbers had jumped out of the window with her phone.

The other two men allegedly involved in the incident have been questioned and released by Police.
