18 people in evacuation center in Nadi

18 people are now at two evacuation centres in Nadi as rain continues.

District Officer Peni Koro said a few families of Utolei Settlement had to be evacuated last night due to floods.

They are now at Korovuto Community Hall.

Koro said a family of five had to move from Waimalika Settlement in Sabeto early this morning due to flooding and is sheltered at the Army Barracks in Nadi.
