18 houses were damaged in the floods over the weekend in Ba while 265 houses were partially damaged.
This is based on the preliminary findings released by the National Disaster Management Office.
So far, 304 houses were surveyed in the Ba district and the areas covered include Natunuku village, Bilolo, Varavu, Nadari, Navia, Vatiyaka, Sasa, Koroqaqa, Saravu, Nailaga, Savusavu, Nabouwalu, Wailailai, Qasevakatini Settlement, Mataniqara, Sigane Access Road, Vatulaulau, Maururu, Yalalevu, Namosau and Vutuni.
Meanwhile, National Fire Authority officers continue to clean up at Ba Muslim College and Xavier College.
So far the places cleaned up after the floods include Ba Bus Stand, Ba Municipal Market, Ba Market Taxi Base, Carrier Stand,
Main Street, Central Car Park and Nailaga Kindergarten.
Meanwhile, 150 RFMF officers are currently engaged in various relief works in the West.
This includes cleaning of Ba Town, Ba Muslim Primary School and finishing works at Xavier College, packing of relief food items and delivery of rations to 2,500 families today.
6 RFMF trucks are also being used.
