172 workers to be employed for 3 years in Australia through Pacific Labour Scheme

Minister for Employment Parveen Bala with 2 of the Fijian workers will leave for Australia next Wednesday.

172 Fijian workers will leave for Australia next Wednesday and will work for Regional Workforce Management through the Ministry of Employment's Pacific Labour Scheme.

The employment term is for 3 years.

While speaking to the workers at Albert Park today, Minister for Employment, Parveen Bala says it is a blessing for the workers as they will be able to provide for their families during this pandemic.

Bala has thanked the Australian government for their continued support.

He has also thanked the Regional Workforce Management for recruiting workers from Fiji during this crisis.

Regional Workforce Management has already employed 193 Fijians in various meat-works industry in Australia and recruits the largest number of workers through the Pacific Labour Scheme.
