The second suspect in the alleged stoning of a police vehicle along Ratu Mara Road in Nabua last night is in police custody.

Police say a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old are currently being questioned at the Nabua Police Station as investigations continue.

Police also confirm that investigations into the motive behind the attack are ongoing.

It is believed that the incident occurred around 9pm last night.

Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has strongly condemned the attack, stating that such actions will not be tolerated.

Tudravu emphasized the importance of community cooperation in crime prevention and the maintenance of public safety.

Tudravu stressed that incidents targeting police officers hinder service delivery and disrupt efforts to ensure a safer environment for all.
