1,680 students today graduated from the University of the South Pacific with certificates, diplomas and degrees.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and International, Professor Derrick Armstrong says 57% of those graduating today are women.
Armstrong says a total of 185 students will be graduating with Master’s Degrees and this is a record number for the University.
He says students graduating from non-regional countries are from Australia, Belize, Canada, Eritrea, Germany, Guyana, India, Korea, New Zealand, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom.
Students from twenty four countries are graduating today.
Armstrong says 18% of all those graduating are from Pacific TAFE while 24% will receive Post Graduate qualifications.
He adds that the graduates will now join over 47, 000 USP alumni worldwide.
Meanwhile the morning session graduation had students graduating from the faculty of Arts, Law and Education, the faculty of Science, Technology and Environment and, Pacific Technical and Further Education also known as Pacific TAFE.
The second ceremony will commence in this hour which students to graduate from the faculty of Business and Economics.
