There were 16 new COVID-19 cases in New Zealand over the past four days and all of them are in managed isolation.
The Ministry of Health says none of the new cases are the new, more contagious coronavirus variant that was first identified in the United Kingdom and was later detected in several other countries such as Australia, Japan, Canada, Denmark, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The Health Ministry had announced that there were seven new cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand over the preceding two days on Wednesday.
