The $1.5 billion Suva to Nadi Cross Country Project is not going to happen in the foreseeable future.

This has been confirmed by Fiji Roads Authority CEO Kamal Prasad who says they have to align themselves with the strategy of the new Government.

Prasad says this will stay in the list of things to do but it may to be up on their priority list.

He says they are still doing the concept design for the $100 million 4 lane bypass between Nadi and Lautoka and believes it may come in play in about two years time.

Prasad had earlier said the Nadi to Lautoka bypass will take 3 years to complete.
