1,400 people are currently taking shelter at 28 evacuation centers in Nadi.

Divisional Planning Officer West Sitiveni Tavaga says they expect more centers to open later today.

Tavaga says they are also calling on members of the public especially those living in Nadi to take precautions as two more Tropical Disturbances are heading our way.

People are also advised that movement is still restricted in Nadi town.

Tavaga says water level in Nadi town is about 1 metre.

The Nadi Back Road, Nadi Town Temple End and Nadi bridge from Namotomoto village are still closed to all traffic.
