1,321 University of the South Pacific Laucala Campus students are graduating today and tomorrow in the University's September graduation.

Vice Chancellor, Professor Rajesh Chandra says this is the highest number of graduates in a September graduation and it is 11% more than last year.

He says since it's establishment, USP has issued around 60,000 qualifications.

Chandra says of all those graduating in the three ceremonies, 39% are from the Faculty of Business and Economics, 15% are from the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment, 18% are from the Faculty of Arts, Law and Education while 28% are from Pacific TAFE.

He adds that 64% of the graduates are women.

Chandra also said that this would be his last report at the USP Laucala campus graduation as he retires at the end of the year.

The first ceremony was held at the FMF Gymnasium this morning where 198 students from the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment graduated while 380 students of Pacific TAFE received their qualifications.

The Faculty of Arts, Law and Education graduation will be held at 1.30 this afternoon.

The third graduation ceremony will be held tomorrow.

That is for the Faculty of Business and Economics.
