13 new COVID cases have been recorded since the 15th of this month.
4 cases were recorded in the Central Division and 9 cases were recorded in the Western Division.
Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong says recently, the WHO Director-General made comments that the end of the pandemic is in sight.
He says the most relevant comment was that the end is in sight and should add to the need for countries to strengthen their capacity to live with the virus.
Dr Fong adds as such, like the rest of the world, Fiji continues to see a persistent decrease in cases and they have supported the removal of in-country testing of incoming travellers and the reduction of the isolation period for positive COVID-19 cases to 5 days.
He say however, strengthening our ability to live with COVID means we remain vigilant.
