Thirteen children were recorded to be living with HIV/AIDs in the country last year.
According to 2018 statistics by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, 468 people are living with HIV of which 77% are on treatment.
AIDS related deaths on record are 117.
As of the end of 2018, the Ministry of Health says the 930 cases of HIV/AIDS have been reported since the first diagnosis in 1989.
The parliament Speaker’s Debate will be held tomorrow and it will ask - Is Fiji on track in meeting Sustainable Development Goal 3.3 - By 2030 end the AIDS epidemic ?
It will be held from 2pm - 3.30pm at the Nahigatoka Village - Community Hall.
The panelists include UNAIDS, Fiji Network for People Living with HIV, Rainbow Pride Fiji, Fiji Youth Sexual Reproductive Health Rights Alliance, the Minister of Health and Opposition member.
