126,726 individuals have received COVID booster doses

As of yesterday, a total of 126,726 individuals have received COVID booster doses.

This represents 29.3% of those eligible for a booster dose. The booster dose interval for eligible persons has been reduced to 3 months from the 2nd dose.

Meanwhile, we have recorded 48 new COVID-19 cases since Monday, the 9th of May.

11 new cases were recorded on Tuesday, 18 new cases were recorded on Wednesday, 10 new cases were recorded on Thursday and 9 new cases in the last 24 hours ending at 8 am yesterday.

Of the 48 cases recorded, 10 cases were recorded in the Central Division while 38 cases were recorded in the Western Division.

The national 7-day rolling average of cases as of 9th May is 10 daily cases.

There are currently 95 active cases of COVID in Fiji.
