$12.057 million of taxpayers money was paid by the FijiFirst Government in exclusive newspaper advertising in the Fiji Sun from 2014 to 2022.
This is only for the government ministries.
Prime Minister and Minister for Information, Sitiveni Rabuka has revealed this after a question raised by the Assistant Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Sakiusa Tubuna.
Tubuna asked what was the total cost of the exclusive government advertising in the Fiji Sun from 2014 to 2022 excluding advertising by government commercial companies, statutory organisations and independent institutions that came by way of a directive.
Rabuka’s response is that government ministries spent $12.057 million on Fiji Sun advertising during the period of 2014 to 2022.
